The problems of mentally retarded persons in our society and other developing countries are unimaginable. I experienced during working with different NGOs that sometimes they enjoy the most comfortable surroundings with the joint efforts of family, NGOs and doctors. But often these mentally incapable ones become the victims due to apathy in the attitude of people around. They are ignored sometimes. Although their mental capabilities are limited, they feel all this and get hurt frequently on minor things. If they are provided with love & care they become overjoyed and give tremendous response for other’s love. It seems clear that they need not the sympathies, but true feeling of love and kindness from everyone around them. So, They are not mentally retarded, they are not incapable but they are special and need special care and support from the society, I am trying to do the same and want you to please make a special corner in your heart for these special persons.
